Home / Warlock DPS Simulator Version Change Log & Upcoming Changes
Back to Warlock DPS Simulator

Dec 2, 2007

• The simulation is now performed multiple times at a limited duration, which you can set between 0.25 and 20 minutes in length. This will cause your mana pool size to affect your dps, among other changes.
• The combat log now shows the entire log of the first fight, instead of the first 2 minutes of combat.
• The combat log now shows several more events, including mana gains from potions.
• The combat log display has been cleaned up.
• Added the Chaotic Skyfire Diamond 3% increased crit size effect option.
• Wowhead.com item links now have a tooltip on mouseover.
• You can now deslect the Bane talent if you wish.
• You can now deslect the ISB talent if you wish.
• Haste on spellcasts shorter than the GCD can now help offset lag on those spells.

Nov 10, 2007

• Added Voidheart 2-set and 4-set bonuses.

Nov 9, 2007

• Corrected plus damage effect behaviour so that when a cast time spell starts during a dmg buff but ends when the buff has expired, you do not gain the damage from the buff.
• Added ISB uptime statistic.

Nov 8, 2007

• Added fully custom spec options.
• Added The Lightning Capacitor trinket with 2.5 sec internal CD (which is added in patch 2.3).
• Added trinket with use function similar to Icon of the Silver Crescent (+155 dmg for 20 seconds every 2 minutes).
• Fixed issue where haste was reducing lag time.
• Fixed issue where some dots would not have their cast sequence reset if they resisted.

Oct 1, 2007

• Version change log moved here, from the Resurgence guild forum.

Sept 27, 2007

• Bug fix with gathering haste gear from the armory. (The Armory doesnt even report passive haste rating from gear that I can see)
• Eye of Magtheridon Calculations
• Quagmirran's Eye Calculations updated for 2.2 changes. 15.77 haste rating is now 1% spell haste.
• New separate consumable section.
• Flame Cap calculations.
• Destruction Potion calculations.
• Partial resist damage mitigation is now a flat percentage, taken off of the damage of each individual damaging ability after the entire fight's damage has been calculated. This should allow you to view the mitigation that a boss gives as shown by a WWS log and plug the number into the calculator to find the DPS change result.

Sept 22, 2007

• Added "Update stats from Armory" functionality
• Changed the nature of curse selection, and made it clear that you have to cast a curse in your spell sequence • • no choice!
• Added partial resist calculations to boss fights.

Sept 20, 2007

• Bug fixed where ISB debuff wasn't consumed by 4 DD spell landings.
• Added 18s internal cooldown to Quagmirran's Eye trinket.

Sept 19, 2007

• Annoying bug where occasionally damage would be calculated at cutoff point for optimization but time would be set to maximum possible test length instead of cutoff point, is now fixed. (Your DPS would sometimes show up as 300dps when it should be 1200dps.)
• 42/0/19 build now adds 5/5 supression to all affliction spells.
• TPS (Threat per second) Calculations.
• Effective crit taking into account miss rate. (Simulator is using 2-roll system for hit/miss).
• Added passive haste from gear calculations.
• Added Quagmirran's Eye calculations.
• Relentless Earthstorm Diamond calculations.
• OOM time calculations switched to super mana pot instead of fel mana pot (which is apparently completely useless for locks since the debuff cant be dispelled).
• DPS effect of consuming a super mana pot every time the CD is up
• Streamlined the UI for lifetapping options
• Increased normalization tolerances to reduce calculation time

Sept 18, 2007

• Choose your own spell sequence.
• No longer adds crit from backlash (as this is already added in your character screen). E.g. the armory reports your crit with 3% crit added to your crit from gear already.
• Lifetap is now in the sequence by default, and you start with 300 mana, (so that lifetap is the very first spell cast).
• Darkmoon Card: Wrath trinket calculations added.
